One of the  greatest stuntmen, stunt coordinators, and 2nd Unit Directors in the history of film, was born November 29th, 1895. Canutt died May May 24, 1995 at the age of 90.

Yakima got his first name from  the city in Washington, by accident,  when a newspaper caption misidentified him.

The bronc busting rodeo rider's birth name is Enos Edward Canutt.

He doubled for John Wayne in many films, the most famous being STAGECOACH, with Canutt doing a dangerous bit jumping through the middle of a team of runaway stagecoach horses.

That's Yak, not The Duke.

He staged the spectacular chariot race in BEN-HUR, training Chuck Heston and Stephen Boyd to do most of the action.
