Beck, known for tangling with Davy Jones and the rest of THE MONKEES, tall, dark and scary Vincent Beck was born August 15th, 1924 in New York City.
The towering TV troublemaker died from cancer on July 24th, 1984. He was only 59.
Besides his 3 guest shots on THE MONKEES, Beck will forever be remembered as the ''big'' green man Voldar in the 1964 camp classic SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS--also featuring Pia Zadora at age 10

He kept busy the next 20 years (until his untimely death) playing a slew of henchmen, monsters, aliens and bullies--some comical, some not so funny.
